More than aftercare, Play Club is a thoughtfully designed calm alternative to screen time, where children in preschool through fifth grade practice social skills, executive functioning, creativity, independence, and emotion regulation.
Play Club brings a level of intention and understanding that goes beyond traditional after-school programs. Every activity, interaction, and environment choice is designed to build the skills needed for a successful and happy life: confidence, respect, responsibility, accountability, and emotional intelligence.
In our small-group setting, children are truly known. They are encouraged to follow their curiosity, explore their interests, navigate friendships, and develop a stronger sense of who they are.
With age-appropriate materials and experiences chosen with learning in mind, Play Club honors childhood while giving parents confidence that their children are spending their afternoons in a caring, enriching environment.
Lisa meets play clubbers at school dismissal, and parents pick up at The Neighborhood Nook at 5:00 pm. Follow-up conversations with parents are ongoing and include:
